Summer 2026 Tournaments

I'm working really hard on sticking to my process in practice and on the course in order to produce consistently lower scores.  I'm concentrating a lot on my game from 120 yards and in. I've made major progress on my mental game and course strategy as well. As you can see below, I'm learning to go low and learning how to play competitively on very tough courses such as the Pete Dye River Course at Virginia Tech - my favorite!

3 May - Virginia State Golf Association Advanced 18 Holes - First Tee of Chesterfield, Richmond, VA

8-12 June - Jerry Haas (Wake Forest) Golf Camp - Winston Salem, NC

I had a great time at the Jerry Haas Golf Camp! All the coaches were top-notch and I learned valuable new things every minute of the day.  I showcased my skills by shooting 70-68 and took home the winner's trophy.  I feel very fortunate to have attended this camp.

15 June - The Marathon (36 in one day - DGT) - 12 Oaks CC, Holly Springs, NC

84-85 T40  I should have rested after the Jerry Haas Camp was over, but I wanted to play some extra golf in the Winston-Salem area before heading to Holly Springs for this tournament. Unfortunately I was exhausted during this tournament (36 holes in one day) and the temperature was in the mid-90s. Lesson learned.

18 June - The Medal of Honor Classic (MAPGA) - Medal of Honor Course, Quantico, VA

77 3rd  I was not sharp from 120 yards and in, and that's the scoring zone.  No excuses - time to go have a few practice sessions and get sharp again.

20-21 June - HJGT Major at Golden Horseshoe - Golden Horseshoe Green Course, Williamsburg, VA

87-77  2nd in age group  Obviously not happy with my performance in the first round. I made it a point to improve on several aspects of my game on the second day and I improved by 10 strokes. Not great scores though and I've worked hard to get back on track.

1-3 July - Mid Atlantic 54 Holes Showcase (HJGT) - Heritage Hills Resort, York, PA

78-80-40 5th - Tournament shortened to 45 holes due to excessive temperature. My game was off.

7-9 July - AJGA Preview at York - Regents Glen CC, York, PA

71-78 10th - Nines of +1, -2, -1, +7. I had a swing breakthrough leading up to this tournament and my game was pretty sharp. I was -2 for the tournament going into the final nine. A combination of loss of focus and bad luck led to a not so good final nine, but I finished top-ten in my first AJGA Tour event and earned 4 Performance Stars! I'm learning and making progress!

20-21 July - University of Maryland Showcase (HJGT) - University of Maryland GC, College Park, MD

80-75 4th

23 July - VSGA 18 Holes Advanced - Augustine GC, Stafford, VA

75 (+4)  1st Place

24 July - VSGA 18 Holes Advanced - Ford's Colony (Black Heath Course), Williamsburg, VA

71 (E)  T2    Scoring average of 73.5 on VSGA Junior Circuit

8-9 August - College Prep Series at Virginia Tech (HJGT) - Pete Dye River Course, Radford, VA

79-78  1st Place by 8 strokes in my age group. The course was as tough a course as I've ever played - and yet it's probably my favorite. Long (7000 yards), narrow, and firm greens. I was the only player in the 14-15 age group to shoot in the 70s and I did it both days. The course rating is 74.7 with a slope of 139. Although I would like my score to be lower, I feel like I learned to win on a very tough course and handled myself well.

12 August - Bruton High School Golf Match at Cypress Creek, Smithfield, VA

72 - Even Par

15-16 August - VSGA Tour Championship - Kiln Creek Resort, Newport News, VA

80-75  T10  Not my best stuff, but I rallied the second day to finish in the top-10 and punch my ticket to the 2027 VSGA Junior Boys Stroke Play Championship. So now I have that to look forward to in 2027. But, right now I need to sharpen things up a bit.

22-23 August - Drip Golf Tour Championship - Birdwood GC at University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA

79-79 T31. My game was not there and this is a very tough course. I played the front nine well both days but lost it on the back nine. I really like the course though and it's inspired me to learn how to compete on very tough courses. I also really loved Charlottesville and the UVA golf facilities.
